While most images around the world portray Ganesh as a powerful supernatural figure, this image shows him as a delightful little infant. An elephant's trunk contains the force to uproot a large tree as well as the delicacy to pick up a needle. Ganesh's trunk represents the detail that the sage individual not only has an enormous strength but also an adequate judgement. Ganesh has large ears meaning a wise being must hears all. Baby Ganesh is seen holding a mango, an exotic fruit grown in India which is also a favorite item of choice of many elephant to eat or rather gulp.
